Land Rover Defender 110 – the SUV that’s ready for anything
The defender 110 land rover is one of the most iconic off-road vehicles in the world. It has a rich history and is based on a robust yet comfortable design that will take you anywhere you want to go.
It has a wide range of powertrain options that range from a 296-horsepower 2.0-liter inline-four to a 518-horsepower supercharged V8. The engines produce good torque at low rpm, and they’re all paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
A new model joins the lineup this year, and it’s a big step up in capability. The Defender 130 adds a third row of seats to the vehicle, which will make it possible for up to eight people to travel in style.

The new model is based on a D7X monocoque, which is three times stiffer than the chassis of its predecessor. The D7X is built on a lightweight, aluminium platform that’s been designed to withstand serious loadings.
The Defender’s off-road credentials are a big part of the appeal, as is its rugged looks. It has a low-range air suspension (standard on the 110), an auto locking centre and rear diff, rubber flooring, and grab handles in front and back. It’s also fitted with a chunky exposed magnesium crossbeam, and mud and snow tyres. It’s also got expedition-style roof racks, raised air intakes, and a side-mounted gear carrier.
